All our staff are highly trained and committed to making your experience at The Foot Centre professional, positive and healing. We have extensive experience at the elite sports level and advanced wound management skills. We listen to your concerns and work with you in order to achieve your desired health outcomes.
Alison is the owner of The Foot Centre and is passionate about providing the communities of North East Victoria and Southern NSW the best possible podiatric care. She has worked hard to become well connected with other health practitioners in the area to allow the best outcomes for the patients of The Foot Centre.
Alison has worked extensively in both public and private practice over the last 20 years and consequently has a lot of experience in all areas of podiatry.
She particularly enjoys helping novice and intermediate level “weekend warriors” work towards their fitness and exercise goals. She is a strong advocate for making physical activity part of your daily routine and is motivated to help get her patients back enjoying their chosen physical pursuit.
Roxanne is a local girl with strong ties to the Wangaratta and surrounding communities. After graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2011, Roxanne moved to Melbourne and worked at Caulfield Hospital and The Northern Hospital. Roxanne then relocated abroad with her partner and worked at an award winning private practice in Scotland.
With her widespread experience in multiple fields Roxanne’s speciality areas now include dermatological conditions, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation, foot mobilisation and manipulation and orthotic prescription. Roxanne’s priority is getting her clients back to feeling their absolute best.
Joanna Gilmartin grew up in Wangaratta before moving to Melbourne for study and experience in one of Victoria’s well known high risk foot clinics at Caulfield Hospital.
Joanna has been at The Foot Centre since 2013 and is based at the Myrtleford clinic on Monday, and Wangaratta on Tuesday through to Friday, offering an evening clinic on Tuesdays.
Joanna has a strong knowledge base and passion for all aspects of podiatry. Her specialty areas though are wound care and prevention, diabetes assessments and paediatrics. She organises and conducts kindergarten screenings in Wangaratta to detect potential problems, where early intervention can prevent ongoing issues.
Since graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2007 Lauren worked at The Foot Centre for 2 years before pursuing her passion for managing and treating the High Risk Foot. The Foot Centre obtained funding through the Primary Health Network so Wangaratta can have her expertise onsite on a Friday.
This is an invaluable service and Lauren and her clients are achieving amazing results.
When not saving limbs, Lauren loves horse riding and the outdoors.
Elise Facey started with The Foot Centre in 2016 after graduating from La Trobe University Bendigo with academic excellence. She has grown up in Benalla and has a passion for providing health care to Victoria’s North East and looks to improve her patient’s quality of life.
Elise works at The Foot Centre’s Benalla clinic on Monday and Friday. Elise’s interest areas include high-risk foot complications, diabetes assessments, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.
Outside of podiatry, Elise enjoys spending time with her dalmatian, wake-boarding and having a laugh!
Jo joined The Foot Centre team in 2014 as one of our receptionists in Wangaratta. She became the Office Manager in July 2015 and has been excelling at this new role ever since. She is based in Wangaratta full-time.
Outside of work Jo enjoys running, going to the gym and being with her young family.
Jo is available at our Wangaratta clinic on Mondays – Friday.
Kat has 15 years experience as a receptionist in Allied Health where she has built great community relationships. On a personal level, Kat enjoys challenging herself by participating in Obstacle Course Racing and Fun Runs.
She enjoys creating memories with her family on their caravanning adventures and watching progress made by her children at their various sporting/life endeavours.
