Trigger Point Dry Needling

This is a treatment technique that uses small sterile acupuncture needles to release tight muscles, to reduce muscle pain and dysfunction

About THe TreatmenT

Our podiatrists have extensive experience in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN), using it to treat common foot and leg conditions such as plantar heel pain, Achilles tendinitis, bunion pain and many other ailments.

If the muscle is adequately released, the tissues are then allowed to assume normal function with improved neurological conduction and vascularity.  We use TDN in conjunction with other treatments to gain long lasting results.

Do you suffer from something like this? Book an appointment today! Let’s figure it out!

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a therapeutic technique used to treat muscle pain and tension. It involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body known as trigger points, which are areas of muscle that are tight and painful. TDN works by causing a small, controlled injury to the trigger point, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response and helps to release tension in the muscle.

TDN has been found to be effective in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, and headaches. It can also be used to treat sports injuries or chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia.
