Trigger Point Dry Needling
The Foot Centre servicing Wangaratta, Myrtleford and Benalla
Trigger point dry needling is a treatment technique, which uses small sterile ultra-fine filament type needles to release tight muscles with the goal of permanently reducing muscle pain and dysfunction and therefore increasing muscle length and reducing risk of injury.
About the treatment:
We recommend having the treatments twice weekly for 2-4 weeks to effectively release the muscles. If the muscle is adequately released, the tissues are then allowed to assume normal function with improved neurological conduction and vascularity.
After the treatment:
You may not feel any symptoms after the treatment but some patients may experience muscle soreness, bruising, fatigue and or fainting.
Local infection, metal allergies, bleeding disorders, pregnancy (1st trimester), over a joint replacement, following axillary node dissection.
$25 per treatment plus a standard consultation fee.
