Plantar Heel Pain: 

Do you dread getting out of bed in the morning because that first step is unbearable?   

Does heel pain keep you awake at night?

Is heel pain stopping you in your tracks, leaving you unable to walk or exercise? 

Heel pain is one of the most common conditions we treat at The Foot Centre.  The key to successfully treating heel pain is getting the right diagnosis so that the cause is treated and not just the symptoms.  

Your podiatrist will use a number  of treatments to provide some relief from heel pain, which may include:

  • Strapping
  • Compression 
  • Orthotics
  • Foot mobilisation therapy
  • Massage – ice bottle, lacrosse ball
  • Immobilisation boot
  • Shockwave therapy
  • fascial manipulation
  • footwear changes
  • strengthening and stretching
